Washing Guidelines

When to wash

We recommend wearing your jeans for several months before the first wash to allow natural creases and fade patterns to form. Wash only when necessary.

How to wash

Turn jeans inside out.
Hand wash in cold water using a mild detergent (e.g. Woolite Dark or denim-specific soap).
Soak for 30-60 minutes, agitate gently, and rinse thoroughly.
Air dry in the shade.
Do not tumble dry.

If machine washing is necessary

Use a cold, gentle cycle.
Avoid fabric softeners and bleach.
Always hang dry.

General Care

Spot clean when possible to reduce washing frequency.
Store in a cool, dry place.
Indigo may transfer to lighter fabrics or furniture—this is expected.
If you cuff your jeans, uncuff occasionally to prevent sharp fade lines or fabric stress.

Fabric Notes

These jeans are made from hand-dyed selvedge denim. Due to the nature of the dye process, the indigo will gradually fade with wear and wash, creating high-contrast patterns unique to the wearer.
Minor shrinkage may occur after the first was. For best results, we recommend soaking or washing before hemming.
